I have found a book that is like a drug to me. I’m about 70% in on my Kindle but I immediately ordered a hardcopy of BECAUSE I KILLED HIM by Edith Birde. This is a South African sister duo and OMG it has me in a chokehold. If you are looking for a well-written, smartly crafted dystopian read, with a gorgeous slowburn, this is a book that you have to read.

Because I have been so obsessed with this self-published read, I have been putting off other titles I’m in the middle of. Once I finish this great book, I’m planning on picking up INTIMACY by Hanif Kureishi – though I’m not loving the story of a man leaving his wife for another. I’m also thinking of focusing on ARCs soon because I keep requesting them on NetGalley and the TBR pile is growing exponentially.
